Tee Lek Ying
Policy Council Chair

Tee Lek Ying currently serves as the Policy Council Chairperson for Child Start, where he is dedicated to representing families and contributing to important program decision-making. Outside of the Council, he works for a nonprofit organization in the East Bay focused on promoting housing stability for those in need.
Before transitioning into housing, he spent more than a decade in the education sector as both a teacher and an administrator. He brings to the Council a strong foundation in education along with personal experience in child welfare, as his family has provided care for children within the Bay Area foster care system.
He is passionate about education and committed to ensuring that all members of the community have the foundation they need to thrive. He looks forward to continuing to make a meaningful impact through his leadership on the Policy Council.
