{"id":5584,"date":"2026-02-17T19:20:56","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T19:20:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/childstartdev2.wpenginepowered.com\/?p=5584"},"modified":"2026-02-17T19:20:56","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T19:20:56","slug":"lead-caregiver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.childstartinc.org\/es\/lead-caregiver\/","title":{"rendered":"Cuidador principal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Period of Employment:<\/strong>&nbsp;Year-round for FDFY.<br><strong>Hours:<\/strong>&nbsp;32hrs\/week.<br><strong>Program\/Department:<\/strong>&nbsp;Early Head Start.<br>Benefits: Medical, dental, 401k, paid time off, training, and a fun, creative, and supportive work environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>General Summary:<\/strong><br>Lead Infant\/Toddler Caregivers&nbsp;provide&nbsp;care and coordination for an Early Head Start classroom by&nbsp;maintaining&nbsp;healthy,&nbsp;safe&nbsp;and stimulating environments for 8-9 infants or toddlers.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Lead Infant\/Toddler Caregiver is the lead for the classroom to&nbsp;provide&nbsp;supervision and care of infants and toddlers and ensures the completion of regular documentation, screenings,&nbsp;assessments&nbsp;and coordination of care for children and their families as&nbsp;identified&nbsp;in the Head Start Performance Standards and Community Care Licensing.&nbsp;&nbsp;Serves as Center Director substitute designee for California Community Care Licensing.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Education and Experience&nbsp;:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><ul><li>Minimum of 24 ECE units, including 3 Infant\/Toddler units and at least 3 units Admin\/Supervision. Plus, the ability to obtain (within 90 days of hire) and maintain the Child Development Permit through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing at the minimum of Associate Teacher level.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><strong>OR<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Related AA or BA degree plus 24 ECE units, including 3 Infant\/Toddler units and at least 3 units Admin\/Supervision.\u00a0 Original (or certified copies) of all credentials or certificates and\u00a0college transcripts indicating applicable coursework to meet requirements of position as a condition of employment.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum of one year teaching experience in a licensed infant\/toddler child care center or comparable group child care program (previous experience teaching in an Early Head Start program highly desired).\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Period of Employment:&nbsp;Year-round for FDFY.Hours:&nbsp;32hrs\/week.Program\/Department:&nbsp;Early Head Start.Benefits: Medical, dental, 401k, paid time off, training, and a fun, creative, and supportive work environment.
